Care and Use of Items with Epoxy Resin

Epoxy Resin is a hard material created by a chemical curing of resin and hardener.  

• It can be cleaned with soap and water.  
• Epoxy is heat resistant to 135 degrees Fahrenheit
  • It is safe for
    • coffee mugs
    • Hot dishes on a hot pad
  • It is NOT a trivet for items right out of the oven

Epoxy hardens to the touch in 24 hours after mixing and continues to harden for about 30-days.  Sometimes, a newly-made item will show slight depressions in the surface from compression during shipping.  If this occurs, the depressions can be eliminated by warming the affected area with a hair dryer for a minute or so.  This process can also be used if the surface is ever “dented” by a heavy object.
